AS A THERAPIST
I provide mental health therapy for adults, adolescents, and school-aged children.
Y’all, therapy is hard work. Fortunately, I’m super nice. I’m also a little bit funny. I’m occasionally super funny. Like…once a week. But I’m reliably slightly funny. Do you want to work through your stuff and also smile a bit throughout your effort? I’m your guy.
I mostly use EMDR and good ol’ talk therapy (CBT/DBT). I really dig the combination of an adaptive processing therapy partnered with a slowed down verbal reflection therapy to STICK the changes you want to make.
I moved to Colorado in 2000, and I’ve been a counselor here ever since, enjoying the privilege of helping adults, children, and families engage in hard work to live happier, healthier, and more fulfilling lives. I’m from a small town in Illinois. I grew up visiting Colorado to see family—my dad is from Durango. I enjoy Denver’s urban/western atmosphere, and it feels like home. I’m a bit of a nerd, and have good relationships with science fiction, asparagus, and baking.
I am a certified EMDR therapist, and offer EMDRIA-approved consultation to other EMDR therapists.
